Bright Data Alternatives: 6 Tools for Web Data Without Proxy Work in 2026

TL;DR Bright Data is a strong web data platform, with a 400M+ residential IP network, scraper APIs and a dataset marketplace. If what you want is typed records from many platforms, delivered to an agent or a pipeline without managing proxies, pick Anysite. Oxylabs is the closest like-for-like swap for proxies and a scraper API. Decodo is the budget proxy and API option. Zyte prices each request by how hard the target site is. ScraperAPI is the plainest single endpoint. Apify is the marketplace of ready-made scrapers with a free plan.
We read each vendor's own site on October 15, 2026 for every price and feature quoted here.

For reference, Bright Data's Web Scraper API costs $1.5 per 1,000 records pay-as-you-go, and its residential proxies cost $4/GB with a 50% coupon (October 2026).
What Bright Data does well
Bright Data calls itself the "World's #1 web data infrastructure for humans and AI agents to search, crawl, extract and act across the public web." The headline on its home page is "The web's data, unlocked." That breadth is real.
The proxy network is the largest number on the page. Bright Data cites 400M+ proxy IPs from 195 countries, plus 1,300,000+ ISP IPs. Few teams will ever outgrow that pool.
The product range covers the whole stack. There are Unlocker, SERP, Browser and Crawl APIs. There are Scraper APIs, an AI Scraper Studio and a Web Archive at "petabyte scale." The dataset marketplace lists 190+ datasets across 120+ domains, with free samples.
Compliance is a genuine strength. Bright Data describes itself as the "gold standard for ethical and compliant web data practices." It runs a Know Your Customer process and an Acceptable Use Policy. It lists adherence to GDPR, CCPA and SEC regulations. Residential proxies need a KYC check before use, which can include a short video call.
The scale of the customer base matches the claims. Bright Data says it is "Trusted by 50,000+ customers worldwide." For a large company with a legal team, that track record matters.
Why people look for Bright Data alternatives
Four reasons come up most.
- Proxy work. Proxies are raw access. You still write the crawler, handle retries and parse the page. Many teams want the finished record, not the pipe.
- Entry commitment. The lowest monthly residential plan is $499, and the lowest monthly Web Scraper API plan is also $499 (October 2026). Smaller teams pay more per unit on pay-as-you-go.
- Billing math. Proxies bill per GB, scrapers per 1,000 records and datasets per 1,000 records. Forecasting a month across three meters takes work.
- Onboarding. Residential access needs identity verification first. That is good practice, but it adds a step before the first request.
Some of these reasons point away from Anysite. If you need raw proxy IPs at scale, stay with a proxy vendor.
How we picked these alternatives
Every tool here had to meet three bars:
- It delivers web data at scale, through proxies, an API or ready-made scrapers.
- It is on sale today, with prices on its own site.
- It offers a free plan, free credits or a trial.
We left out tools that only serve one platform's data. We also left out pure proxy resellers without an API layer.
Anysite is our product. It sits first as the pick for teams that want typed records from many platforms without buying or managing proxies. The rest run from the closest like-for-like swap to the plainest option.
1. Anysite: typed records from 900+ sources, no proxy management
Anysite is live web data over an API or an MCP server. Data is "pulled live from the source at the moment you ask — not served from a warehouse snapshot." You ask for a company, a person, a post or a price, and you get typed fields back. There is no proxy pool to rent and no HTML to parse.
- Coverage. 900+ sources and 5,000+ endpoints (anysite.io, October 2026), across social media, developer platforms, business intelligence, marketplaces and maps.
- Four interfaces, one engine. CLI, MCP, REST API and n8n share one engine. An API key also works on the MCP server.
- MCP for agents. Claude, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI and other MCP clients connect to
https://mcp.anysite.io/mcp. Meta-tools let the agent discover endpoints, run them and filter cached results. - Any URL, typed JSON back. For sites without a dedicated endpoint, the web parser handles any URL, and JavaScript-rendered pages are supported.
- Business data and datasets. B2B people and company data, with 850M+ professional profiles and 70M+ company profiles on the datasets page. Datasets ship as CSV, JSON or Parquet, with a free sample first.
- Self-healing endpoints. "When a website changes its layout, endpoints adapt on our side."
Pricing (October 2026): The MCP line is flat: MCP $30 a month, MCP x5 $99 a month, MCP x15 $199 a month; usage runs in rolling windows (pricing). The API line is credit-based: Starter $49 a month for 15K credits, up to Enterprise at $1,199 a month for 1.2M credits (API pricing). Both lines have a 7-day free trial; creating the account takes no card, starting the trial does.
How it differs from Bright Data: Bright Data sells the access layer, and you build the extraction on top. Anysite sells the record, already typed, and handles access on its side. Anysite's interfaces are CLI, MCP, REST API and n8n, so a team that wants raw proxy IPs for its own crawler should look at Bright Data, Oxylabs or Decodo. Niche sites with heavy bot protection are case-by-case. Anysite is also a small team, founded in 2024, without Bright Data's long compliance track record.
Pick it if your agents or pipelines need typed records from many platforms and you do not want to run proxies.
2. Oxylabs: the closest like-for-like swap
Oxylabs offers "APIs built for AI and premium proxies." Its home page headline is "Fresh Web Data for Grounding AI Agents." The product set mirrors Bright Data closely: residential, mobile, ISP, dedicated ISP and datacenter proxies, a Web Unblocker, a Web API with Search and Scrape, an Agent Browser, datasets and an MCP server. It cites 175M+ residential IPs in 195 locations. On compliance, it lists ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and SOC 2 Type II certifications for named products.
Pricing (October 2026): Plans are Starter at $30 a month, Basic at $100, Flexible at $500 and Enterprise from $2,500 a month by quote. On the smallest tier, residential proxies are $6/GB and datacenter proxies $0.6/GB. Web Scraper API results start from $0.50 per 1,000, and custom-domain scraping with JavaScript is $1.50 per 1,000. New accounts get $5 in welcome credits.
How it differs from Bright Data: The shape is the same, so migration is mostly config work. Oxylabs publishes its security certifications on the home page. Its residential pool is smaller than Bright Data's 400M+, but still large for most workloads.
Pick it if you want the same mix of proxies, scraper API and datasets from a second enterprise vendor.
3. Decodo: proxies and a Web Data API on a budget
Decodo, formerly Smartproxy, sells proxies and a Web Data API. It cites "115M+ ethically-sourced IPs in 195+ locations" for residential proxies, 10M+ mobile IPs and 500K+ datacenter IPs. The Web Data API covers /scrape, /search, /map and /crawl under one key. It returns HTML, Markdown or JSON, and Decodo also ships an MCP server, SDKs and a CLI.
Pricing (October 2026): Residential proxies are $4/GB pay-as-you-go, or $3.75/GB on a 3 GB monthly plan ($11.25 a month). Enterprise plans go down to $2/GB at 1 TB. The Web Data API has a free plan of up to 10K pages scraped, then $19, $49, $99 and $249 a month. The $249 plan covers up to 1.2M pages scraped. The proxy trial lasts 3 days with 100 MB, and paid plans carry a 14-day money-back option.
How it differs from Bright Data: Decodo's entry points are far lower: $11.25 a month against Bright Data's $499 monthly residential plan. The pool is smaller, and its pricing pages list no dataset catalog.
Pick it if you need proxy traffic or a simple scrape-and-crawl API at the lowest monthly bill.
4. Zyte: one API priced by how hard the site is
Zyte's headline is "Web data, solved." It promises "Accurate, compliant, and reliable at scale." Zyte API is "One API across easy, moderate and hard websites" and handles bans, proxies and browsers. Zyte also maintains the open-source Scrapy framework, runs Scrapy Cloud for hosting crawlers, and offers Zyte Data, a managed service that delivers to your warehouse.
Pricing (October 2026): Prices are per 1,000 successful responses, in five site tiers. Pay as you go runs from $0.13 (simple site, HTTP) to $16.08 (advanced site, browser-rendered). Monthly plans of $100, $200 and $500 lower the rates; the $500 plan starts at $0.06 per 1,000. There are no overage penalties. New accounts get $5 of free credit and 30 days to try it.
How it differs from Bright Data: You pay for successful responses, priced by the site, rather than per GB of traffic. That makes the bill easier to forecast for a known list of sites. Its managed service, Zyte Data, covers the "just send me the data" case.
Pick it if your team writes crawlers, likes Scrapy, and wants to stop running proxy logic.
5. ScraperAPI: one endpoint, proxies handled
ScraperAPI's headline is "Scale Data Collection with a Simple API." It lets you collect data from public sites "without handling proxies, browsers, or CAPTCHAs." It cites "over 40M proxies located across +50 countries." Structured endpoints return clean JSON from Amazon, Google, Walmart and more. Async jobs and a no-code DataPipeline cover larger runs.
Pricing (October 2026): Hobby is $49 a month for 100,000 API credits. Startup is $149 for 1,000,000, Business $299 for 3,000,000 and Scaling $475 for 5,000,000. Professional and Advanced plans run $975 and $1,975 a month. Annual billing takes 10% off. The trial lasts 7 days with 5,000 API credits and no credit card.
How it differs from Bright Data: It is one product, not a platform, so there is less to learn. The proxy pool and country coverage are much smaller than Bright Data's. Structured JSON covers named targets such as Amazon, Google and Walmart.
Pick it if you have a handful of targets and want a monthly bill that a small team can predict.
6. Apify: a store of ready-made scrapers
Apify says it is "building the world's largest platform for web data and tools for AI builders." Apify Store holds "Thousands of ready-to-run tools for web data, AI, and automation," called Actors. A hosted MCP server lets agents discover and run Actors. Apify also maintains the open-source Crawlee library.
Pricing (October 2026): The free plan includes $5 of monthly usage, with no credit card. Starter is $19 a month, Scale $199 and Business $999, each with matching prepaid usage. Compute units cost $0.2 on Free and Starter, falling to $0.13 on Business. Annual billing lowers the monthly price to $17, $179 and $899.
How it differs from Bright Data: Apify's breadth comes from a marketplace of scrapers rather than one vendor's own catalog. You pick and test an Actor per target, and runs bill in compute units. The free plan is the most generous starting point on this list.
Pick it if you need many niche targets and are happy to choose and test ready-made tools.
Bright Data alternatives: pricing compared

| Tool | Pricing model | Entry price (Oct 2026) | Free or cheapest start |
|---|---|---|---|
| Anysite | Flat MCP plans; API credits per month | $30/month (MCP), $49/month (API) | 7-day trial, card needed to start |
| Oxylabs | Plans plus per GB, per IP or per 1K results | $30/month Starter | $5 welcome credits |
| Decodo | Per GB proxies; monthly Web Data API plans | $11.25/month (3 GB residential); $19/month (API) | Free API plan, up to 10K pages |
| Zyte | Per 1K successful responses, by site tier | Pay as you go from $0.13/1K | $5 credit, 30 days |
| ScraperAPI | Monthly API credits | $49/month | 7-day trial, 5,000 credits, no card |
| Apify | Monthly plan plus compute units | $19/month Starter | Free plan, $5 usage a month |
| Bright Data (for reference) | Per GB, per 1K records, per dataset | $4/GB residential (with coupon); $1.5/1K records | Scraper API free tier, 5K records a month |
The entry price rarely tells you the full bill. Per-GB proxy pricing grows with page weight, so image-heavy targets cost more. Credit and record pricing grows with volume, and some requests cost more than one unit. Rendered pages on Zyte cost several times the HTTP rate. Apify bills compute units on top of the plan.
Anysite has its own caps. MCP plans are flat, but each one has rolling 5-hour and 7-day usage windows; hitting a limit returns a rate-limit error, and nothing is lost. API plans include a fixed number of credits per month. Richer payloads cost more than one credit, and top-ups are $2.90 per 1K credits.
Which Bright Data alternative should you choose?
Name the reason you are leaving, then match it.

- "I want records, not proxies." Anysite.
- "I want the same stack from another enterprise vendor." Oxylabs.
- "I need proxy traffic at the lowest price." Decodo.
- "We run Scrapy and want to stop fighting bans." Zyte.
- "One endpoint, a fixed monthly bill, a few targets." ScraperAPI.
- "I need dozens of niche sites with ready tools." Apify.
- "My agent needs live data through MCP." Anysite, with Oxylabs, Decodo and Apify also offering MCP servers.
Staying on Bright Data is a fair answer too. If you need a 400M+ IP pool, documented KYC and GDPR processes for your legal team, and pre-collected datasets in one contract, few vendors match it. At volumes where the $499 monthly plans fit, rates fall to $3.50/GB on proxies and $1.3 per 1,000 extra records.
