AnySite Product Changelog: Building the Universal Data Platform

The past six months have been transformative for AnySite (formerly Horizon Data Wave). We've shipped dozens of features that fundamentally expand what developers can build with our platform—from finding email addresses on LinkedIn profiles to analyzing Instagram engagement, from one-click integration with Cursor IDE to an AI-powered chat assistant that understands natural language queries.

This changelog covers our major releases from March through September 2025. Whether you're building sales automation tools, recruiting platforms, market research systems, or social intelligence applications, these updates dramatically expand what's possible with programmatic access to social and web data.

September 2025: Email Discovery and Instagram Post Analytics

LinkedIn Email Finder (September 13)

One of our most requested features is now live: email address discovery for LinkedIn profiles. This capability transforms how sales and recruiting teams can reach prospects directly.

What's new:

  • Search for email addresses associated with any LinkedIn profile
  • Input either a full profile URL or just the username
  • Get back all known email addresses for that user
  • Works without requiring LinkedIn authentication

This feature is particularly powerful when combined with our existing LinkedIn search capabilities. Teams can now build complete outbound workflows: search for ICP-matching profiles, extract structured data, find verified email addresses, and initiate outreach—all through our API.

Use cases we're seeing:

  • Sales teams enriching prospect lists with contact information
  • Recruiters finding direct ways to reach passive candidates
  • Marketing teams building targeted campaign lists
  • Partnership teams identifying decision-maker contacts

The email finder integrates seamlessly with our existing LinkedIn API endpoints. Simply pass a profile URL or username, and we'll return all available email addresses along with verification status and source information.

Instagram Post Intelligence (September 8)

Instagram content analysis just got significantly more powerful. You can now access detailed information about individual posts, including engagement metrics, audience reactions, and performance analytics.

New capabilities:

  • Pull complete post metadata including captions, hashtags, and mentions
  • Access engagement metrics: likes, comments, shares, saves
  • Analyze audience sentiment and interaction patterns
  • Track post performance over time

This builds on our August Instagram integration and gives social media managers, influencer marketing teams, and competitive intelligence analysts the data they need to understand what content resonates.

Practical applications:

  • Competitive analysis: track which content types perform best for competitors
  • Influencer vetting: verify engagement quality before partnerships
  • Content strategy: identify high-performing themes and formats
  • Campaign measurement: quantify reach and engagement for sponsored content

August 2025: Complete Instagram Integration and Cursor IDE Support

Full Instagram API Access (August 31)

August delivered our most comprehensive social platform integration yet: complete Instagram API coverage. This wasn't just adding a few endpoints—we built a full-featured Instagram data platform that gives developers programmatic access to nearly every aspect of the platform.

Follower and following data:

  • Access complete follower lists for any public profile
  • Analyze following patterns to understand audience interests
  • Track follower growth and churn over time
  • Identify mutual connections and network overlap

Instagram Reels intelligence:

  • Search for Reels by hashtag, sound, or creator
  • Extract video metadata, captions, and performance metrics
  • Analyze which Reels drive the most engagement
  • Track trending audio and format patterns

Content history and analytics:

  • Pull complete post history for any profile
  • Access likes, comments, and engagement data
  • Analyze posting frequency and optimal timing
  • Track content themes and hashtag performance

Engagement and interaction tracking:

  • See who's liking and commenting on posts
  • Analyze audience demographics and behavior
  • Track brand mentions and user-generated content
  • Monitor influencer partnerships and sponsored content

This Instagram integration opens up entirely new use cases: influencer marketing platforms can automate discovery and vetting, social listening tools can track brand sentiment, competitive intelligence teams can analyze market positioning, and content creators can optimize their strategies with data.

MCP Server Integration with Cursor IDE (August 28)

This might be our most exciting developer experience improvement: one-click integration with Cursor IDE through the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

What this means for developers:

The MCP server enables AI-powered development workflows where Claude (or other AI assistants) can directly access AnySite API capabilities through natural language. Instead of manually writing API calls, you describe what data you need, and the AI assistant fetches it for you.

Setup is now trivial:

  • Single deep link installation—no configuration files to edit
  • Works immediately in Cursor IDE
  • No LinkedIn account required for development
  • AI assistant automatically discovers available capabilities

Example workflow:

Instead of reading API documentation, writing authentication code, and constructing HTTP requests, you can simply tell Claude: "Find all CTOs at Series B SaaS companies in San Francisco and show me their LinkedIn profiles." The MCP server handles the entire API interaction.

This is particularly powerful for:

  • Rapid prototyping: Test ideas in minutes instead of hours
  • Data exploration: Query datasets conversationally
  • Workflow automation: Build complex multi-step processes through natural language
  • Learning the API: The AI assistant teaches you by example

The MCP integration represents a fundamental shift in how developers interact with data APIs. Instead of code-first workflows, you can think in terms of what you want to accomplish and let AI handle the implementation details.

For teams building AI agents, this is transformative—your agents can now access real-time social and web data as part of their reasoning loops, without custom integration work.

July 2025: Subscription Management and Usage Transparency

Flexible Subscription System (July 13)

We rebuilt our subscription management system from the ground up to give teams more control and transparency over their billing.

Cost preview before changes:

No more surprises. When you upgrade or downgrade your plan, you see exactly what you'll pay (or save) before confirming. The system calculates prorated charges for mid-cycle changes, shows credit adjustments, and provides clear breakdowns.

Instant upgrades with smart billing:

Need more capacity right now? Upgrades are instantaneous. We calculate the prorated cost for the remainder of your billing cycle and charge only the difference. Your new limits are active immediately—no waiting for the next billing cycle.

Automatic rollback protection:

Payment failures happen. Our new system includes safety nets: if a subscription change fails (card declined, payment processor issues, etc.), we automatically roll back to your previous plan. You're never stuck in a degraded state without warning.

Trial credits on activation:

Previously, trial credits were issued after a waiting period. Now, trial subscriptions receive their credit allocation immediately upon activation, so you can start testing at full capacity from day one.

These improvements came directly from customer feedback. Teams building production systems need predictable billing, and teams evaluating the platform need immediate access. This subscription system delivers both.

Enhanced API Usage History (July 12)

Understanding how your application uses AnySite API is crucial for optimization and cost management. Our new usage history system provides unprecedented visibility.

Unlimited history access:

Previously, usage history was limited to recent requests. Now, you have access to your complete API history from the beginning of your account—no arbitrary cutoffs, no data retention limits.

Smart pagination:

For accounts with high volume, we implemented efficient pagination that makes it easy to navigate through thousands of requests without performance degradation.

Detailed usage analytics:

Every API call is logged with comprehensive metadata:

  • Endpoint accessed and parameters used
  • Response time and data volume
  • Credit cost breakdown
  • Timestamp and request context

This visibility helps teams:

  • Optimize API usage patterns to reduce costs
  • Debug integration issues with complete request history
  • Forecast usage and budget accurately
  • Identify opportunities for caching and efficiency improvements

June 2025: AI Chat Assistant and Reddit Data

AI-Powered Chat Assistant (June 7)

In June, we launched something fundamentally different: an AI chat assistant that speaks your API.

This isn't just a documentation chatbot. It's an intelligent interface that understands natural language queries about social and web data, translates them into appropriate API calls, and returns structured results—all through conversational interaction.

Natural language to API:

Instead of learning endpoint paths, parameter names, and authentication flows, you can ask questions like:

  • "Show me all software engineers at Stripe who changed jobs in the last 6 months"
  • "What are the top Instagram posts about sustainable fashion this week?"
  • "Find Reddit discussions about GPT-4 with more than 100 comments"

The assistant handles the API complexity automatically: choosing the right endpoints, constructing filters, handling pagination, and formatting results.

Session management with context:

The chat assistant maintains context across a conversation. Ask a follow-up question, refine your search, or dive deeper into results without repeating yourself. It remembers what you're working on and builds on previous queries.

Multi-platform orchestration:

Complex queries that span multiple platforms? The assistant handles that too. Ask for "social media profiles for Y Combinator founders" and it will search LinkedIn, check Twitter/X, analyze Instagram presence, and synthesize the results.

Interactive data analysis:

Beyond just fetching data, the assistant helps you understand it. Ask for analysis, comparisons, or insights, and it will process the data and present findings in human-readable form.

This chat interface is particularly valuable for:

  • Exploratory research: Ask broad questions and narrow down based on results
  • Non-technical users: Product managers and analysts can access data without engineering support
  • Rapid prototyping: Test data quality and coverage before building integrations
  • Learning the platform: The assistant shows you what's possible through examples

The AI assistant is available through our web dashboard and as a standalone API, so you can embed conversational data access into your own applications.

Reddit Post Search (June 30)

Reddit is one of the internet's most valuable repositories of authentic discussion, market sentiment, and community insight. Our Reddit API makes this data accessible for analysis and monitoring.

Powerful search capabilities:

  • Search across all of Reddit or target specific subreddits
  • Filter by post score, comment count, and recency
  • Find posts mentioning specific keywords, brands, or topics
  • Track trending discussions in real-time

Use cases that matter:

  • Brand monitoring: Track mentions of your product or competitors across relevant communities
  • Market research: Understand what potential customers actually care about
  • Trend identification: Spot emerging topics before they hit mainstream awareness
  • Customer development: Find authentic feedback and feature requests

Reddit's value lies in its authenticity—people speak more candidly in community discussions than in public social media posts. This API lets you tap into that insight at scale.

Enhanced Sales Navigator Integration (May 17)

For sales teams using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, May brought significant search improvements that unlock more precise targeting.

Company name keyword search:

Previously, searching by company required exact matches. Now you can search by keywords in company names, making it easy to find groups of related companies (e.g., all companies with "software" in the name, all ".ai" companies, etc.).

Combined filter logic:

The real power comes from combining filters. Search for candidates at companies matching specific criteria AND with certain job titles AND in particular locations. This level of precision dramatically reduces list cleanup time.

Improved candidate discovery:

For recruiting teams, this means better sourcing: find all software engineers at pre-seed AI companies in San Francisco, or all CTOs at Series B fintech startups who previously worked at FAANG companies.

These improvements make AnySite's LinkedIn integration significantly more powerful than native Sales Navigator for programmatic workflows. You get the search power of Sales Navigator with the automation capabilities of an API.

March - April 2025: Communication Tools and New Data Sources

LinkedIn Messaging Enhancements (April 21)

Attachment handling:

LinkedIn messages often include attachments—PDFs, presentations, documents. Our API now retrieves these attachments automatically, giving you access to shared files as part of message data.

Auto-mark as read:

When building automation workflows, you often want to process messages without cluttering your inbox with unread indicators. The API can now automatically mark messages as read after retrieval.

Better conversation management:

These features make it practical to build automated response systems, CRM integrations, and inbox management tools on top of LinkedIn messaging.

Glassdoor Company Intelligence (April 7)

Glassdoor provides unique insight into company culture, compensation, and employee satisfaction—data that's valuable for recruiting, sales, and market research.

Employee reviews and ratings:

  • Access authentic employee reviews and company ratings
  • Understand culture and work environment before recruiting
  • Identify red flags or selling points for different teams

Compensation data:

  • See salary ranges for specific roles at target companies
  • Benchmark compensation for recruiting and offer decisions
  • Understand total compensation packages

Corporate culture insights:

  • Learn what employees actually value about working somewhere
  • Identify companies with strong or problematic cultures
  • Use sentiment analysis to quantify employee satisfaction

This data is particularly valuable for:

  • Recruiters: Pitch roles more effectively with culture and comp insights
  • Sales teams: Understand prospect companies' internal dynamics
  • Investors: Diligence on company culture and employee satisfaction

Twitter/X Full Integration (March 25)

Twitter (now X) remains one of the most important platforms for real-time information, professional networking, and public conversation. Our March integration brought comprehensive coverage.

Post and user search:

  • Search tweets by keyword, hashtag, or author
  • Find users by bio keywords, location, or follower count
  • Track conversations around specific topics or events

Detailed profile data:

  • Complete user profiles with bio, follower counts, and verification status
  • Posting history and engagement patterns
  • Network analysis: who follows whom, mutual connections

Activity and engagement analysis:

  • Track tweet performance: likes, retweets, replies
  • Analyze engagement patterns and best posting times
  • Monitor brand mentions and sentiment

For teams building social listening tools, competitive intelligence systems, or influencer marketing platforms, X data is essential. This integration makes it accessible through the same unified API as LinkedIn, Instagram, and Reddit.

Google Search API (March 20)

Sometimes you need programmatic access to what's ranking in Google for specific keywords—competitor websites, news articles, directory listings, or other public content.

SERP access:

  • Retrieve search results for any keyword
  • Track ranking positions over time
  • Monitor when your company (or competitors) appear in results

Use cases:

  • Brand monitoring: Track where your brand appears in search results
  • SEO analysis: Understand who's ranking for target keywords
  • Competitive intelligence: Monitor competitor online presence

LinkedIn Platform Enhancements (March 20)

March brought several important LinkedIn features that matter for both recruiters and sales teams.

"Open to Work" indicator:

When searching LinkedIn profiles, you can now see which candidates have indicated they're open to opportunities. This saves time by focusing outreach on receptive candidates.

Company mention monitoring:

Track when and where your company is mentioned on LinkedIn—in posts, comments, and profiles. Essential for brand monitoring and reputation management.

Content publishing:

Post updates to LinkedIn on behalf of users or company pages. This opens up automated content distribution workflows, scheduled posting, and multi-account management.

These features close gaps in our LinkedIn coverage and enable more sophisticated automation workflows around recruiting, sales, and marketing.
