## Key facts about Anysite (as of 2026-10-23)

- Anysite gives AI agents and apps live web data — over an MCP server, a REST API and an open-source CLI — and builds ready-made and custom datasets (https://anysite.io/datasets/).
- Catalog: 900+ sources, 5,000+ endpoints (https://anysite.io/endpoints/).
- Pricing: MCP plans from $30/month, API plans from $49/month. 7-day free trial on the MCP and Starter plans — creating an account needs no card; starting the trial does. Datasets are quoted per project after a free sample.

// Q&A

## Questions before you start

Which indexes does one ask cover?

OpenAlex, PubMed, arXiv, Crossref and Semantic Scholar, plus code registries and model hubs like GitHub and Hugging Face when the question is about software. If your field leans on one index, ask your agent to search only that one.

Can I trust the citation counts?

Each number comes from the index itself, and each result links to its record. The indexes disagree on citation counts, so use them to rank, and check which index a figure came from before it goes into a paper.

Does this replace my reference manager or review protocol?

No. Anysite gets your agent the records. Screening, inclusion criteria and synthesis stay with you, and results go into the sheet or reference tool you already use.

Can my agent send me new preprints every morning?

Yes. The schedule lives in your agent, for example a scheduled task in Claude. On each run it asks Anysite for new records and posts them to Slack or a sheet.

What does it cost?

MCP plans are a flat monthly price from $30, not a subscription per index. Usage runs in rolling windows; when a window is full, calls pause until it resets. Higher tiers have larger windows. In your own code, the API starts at $49 a month. Both entry plans come with a 7-day free trial, enough to run a real review.
