// Q&A

## Questions before you build

Should my product call MCP or the API?

Both return the same typed records from the same catalog. MCP fits agents that pick tools as they go, like copilots and research agents. The API fits pipelines where the calls are fixed in code, and one API key also works over MCP. Many teams prototype over MCP, then move the busy paths to the API.

What happens to my product when a source changes?

Your schema stays the same. When a site changes its layout or its defenses, we update the endpoint on our side, and the fields your agent reads keep their names. A source can still be down for a while; bringing it back is our job, not a ticket in your sprint.

Do my users need their own Anysite accounts?

No. Your product calls Anysite with your own key, and your users only see your product. Size the plan to the load your users create, and use the trial to measure it.

Does Anysite run my agent on a schedule?

No. The schedule lives in your product or your agent. On each run it asks Anysite for fresh data, then sends the result wherever you want.

What does it cost?

MCP plans are a flat monthly price from $30. Usage runs in rolling windows; when a window is full, calls pause until it resets. On the API, from $49 a month, each call costs the credits its endpoint lists. Both entry plans come with a 7-day free trial.
