## Common Questions

Doesn’t Walmart have an official product API?

No general-purpose one. Walmart’s Marketplace API is restricted to approved sellers for order management — it doesn’t expose catalog data, customer reviews, or third-party seller details. These endpoints read the public marketplace instead, live at request time.

What identifier do I use to look up a product?

Either the numeric itemId or the full Walmart product URL — the endpoint extracts the itemId from a URL automatically, so both formats work.

Are seller email and phone available?

/api/walmart/sellers returns email and phone when the seller publishes them on their public storefront page. Not every seller does — the fields come back null when unavailable.
