## Common Questions

How do I pick which site to query?

Every call takes a site parameter with the community’s slug — stackoverflow, superuser, serverfault, askubuntu, security, datascience, and any of the 170+ network sites. The endpoint interface is identical across all of them.

Can I search across all sites at once?

No — the site parameter routes each call to one community. To cover several, make one call per site and aggregate the results; since all sites share the same interface, the pattern stays consistent.

What’s the difference between questions/answers and answers?

questions/answers returns all answers for a question (you pass the question ID). answers returns the detail of a single answer by its own ID — for example the accepted answer ID a question record hands you.
