Does it handle JavaScript-rendered pages?

Not this endpoint: parse reads the HTML the server sends, so a single-page app comes back empty. Use the render endpoint for JavaScript-heavy pages; it loads the page in a real browser first and takes the same options.

When should I use a dedicated source instead?

When one exists for the site. Dedicated sources return that site’s own fields, such as prices, ratings or funding rounds; this endpoint reads the rest of the web. For whole sites, pair it with the sitemap endpoint.

What are the limits?

Most public pages parse without setup. On sites with aggressive bot defenses, results may vary.
